Dear Agency Partners:
We have established a temporary new Customer Support Fund to provide bill assistance to residential and small business customers who are experiencing financial strain due to the COVID-19 virus.
Starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020, customers who are having any of the following difficulties paying their bill due to COVID-19 can call our Customer Care center for assistance:
· A loss or reduction of income
· Unexpected expenses that cause a lack of resources to pay their bill
· A condition exists that endangers the health or safety of the customer’s household
Below are the details of the program:
· Customer can receive a one-time $100 bill credit per account
· The Customer Support Fund is set up for APS residential and small business customers and will be managed and distributed by APS
· Income or crisis verification documentation will not be required
· Receiving funds through this program will not affect eligibility for our assistance programs including Crisis Bill Assistance, Energy Support program or SHARE
· Customers can be directed to call our Customer Care center at (602) 371-7171 in (metro Phoenix) or (800) 253-9405 (in other areas)
This program is intended to help our customers during this time of need without putting a burden on our agency partners. Therefore, we will handle the activity related to the program but wanted to make sure you are aware of what we are doing. Dear Valued HAMC Customer and Stakeholder:
HAMC’s focus remains on the health and welfare of our staff, residents, voucher holders, landlords, and all other guests. Here are a few steps we are taking:
HAMC Offices: HAMC is taking proactive steps to protect public health, such as cleaning and disinfecting all public areas. For safety reasons, the HAMC Administrative Office as well as property management offices are closed to the public. The Administrative Office lobby located at 8910 N. 78th Avenue, Peoria is open for paperwork drop-off only. HAMC staff continues to be available by telephone, email, or appointment only.
Meetings: HAMC is canceling public meetings without time-sensitive agenda items. For meetings with time-sensitive agenda items, we are providing a variety of participation options, such as call-in, virtual, or streaming options such as GoToMeeting. Check the meeting agenda for information on how to participate.
Conducting Business: The majority of HAMC staff are working, and are ready to serve you. Their extensions and email addresses are available on www.maricopahousing.org tab “How May We Help You” and through the main office line at (602) 744-4500, TDD (602) 744-4540.
Landlords: HAMC is committed to processing landlord housing assistance payments (HAP) timely. Currently there are no revisions or interruptions to HAP payments.
Staying Informed: We also are providing information to our staff regarding preventive measures for all viruses as recommended by major health organizations. HAMC requests staff and visitors to consider following best practices regarding personal health such as those offered through Maricopa.gov/coronavirus or cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/.

If you are considering porting at this time, the Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) is strongly encouraging you to consider the challenges you may face with potential travel bands, closures or limited accessibility to housing providers. If you can postpone your move, you should consider doing so for the health and safety of your family.

Board of Commissioners will hold meetings at 8910 N. 78th Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345 as follows:
Agendas are available at least 24 hours prior to each of the above scheduled meetings at the Housing Authority, 8910 N. 78th Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or anytime on HAMC’s website www.maricopahousing.org.
