PUBLIC NOTICE: Waitlist Opening for Housing Authority of Maricopa County’s (HAMC) Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program Wait List
WAITLIST DATES
WAIT LIST OPENING DATE 8:00 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2023
WAIT LIST CLOSING DATE 8:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2023
The Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) will be accepting online wait list applications for the HCV (Section 8) Waitlist Lottery.
LOTTERY SELECTION
Applications received during the waitlist opening and closing dates (8:00 AM July 25, 2023 -August 25, 2023) will be selected at random after the wait list closing date. Only 4,000 randomly selected wait list applications will then be added to the HAMC HCV Wait list. When HAMC conducts a lottery, all applications in the lottery pool have an equal chance of being selected. During the pre-application process, application date and time and any “local preference” for which you might, eventually, be eligible for do not help or hurt your odds of being selected in a lottery.

All families and individuals may apply.
HOW TO APPLY
Wait list applications will be accepted online at: https://portal.maricopahousing.org/
Step 1. Go to the link: https://portal.maricopahousing.org/
Step 2. Click on Applicant Login
Step 3. If you do not have a login with HAMC, click “Register Now” and click “I do NOT have a
registration code” and create an account. After you create an account, login with your username and password.
If you do have a login with HAMC, login with your username and password.
Step 4. Go to “Apply to Waiting Lists”
Step 5. Complete and submit the application for the HCV waiting list.
