PUBLIC NOTICE: Housing Authority of Maricopa County Public Housing Authority Draft Annual Plan (2021-2022) is available for public review

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the general public that the Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) Public Housing Authority (PHA) Draft Annual Plan (2021-2022) is available for public review and comment. The draft plan includes changes in agency Housing Choice Voucher plans and policies.
The PHA Draft Annual Plan may be viewed on the HAMC website www.maricopahousing.org or at the Administrative Office located at 8910 N. 78th Avenue, Peoria, AZ. Written comments may be submitted at the HAMC located at 8910 W. 78th Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345, via email to LaQueena Soto at l.soto@maricopahousing.org or via the website www.maricopahouisng.org until the Board of Commissioners hears this plan at its regularly scheduled Committee meeting on Friday April 16, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., 8910 W. 78th Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345.
One or more members may attend telephonically. Members attending telephonically will be announced at the meeting. Executive Sessions are always preceded by an open, public meeting as per A.R.S. §38-431.03, and are held in compliance with one or more of the following statutes:
A.R.S. §38-431.03.1 – Personnel matters
A.R.S. §38-431.03.2 – Records exempt by law from public inspection

Waitlist Opening for Housing Authority of Maricopa County Rose Terrace Project Base Voucher (PBV)
March 29, 2021 @ 8:00 a.m. (MST) THROUGH April 12, 2021 @ 8 a.m. (MST)
The Housing Authority of Maricopa County (HAMC) will be accepting applications for the Rose Terrace Project Base Voucher (PBV) for 2-5 bedrooms only. Applications will be accepted online only from 8:00 AM March 29, 2021, through April 12, 2021 at 8:00 AM.
The applicants may apply on HAMC’s Applicant portal at https://portal.maricopahousing.org Registration is required, and applicants must login to apply. The application will only be available during the waitlist opening. Paper applications will not be accepted; however, if you require special assistance with the application process or you do not have internet access, you may contact the waitlist helpline Monday-Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 602-744-4555; the waitlist helpline will not be active before or after the waitlist opening closes. 2-5-bedroom Applicants will be added to the Rose Terrace PBV Waitlist. The applicant portal allows those added to a waitlist to (1) check waiting list status, (2) reply to future ‘Save My Spot’ inquires, and (3) when pulled from the waitlist complete the formal application (‘Certification for Intake’) process online. Applicants not eligible for a 2-5-bedroom unit based on occupancy standards will have to reapply for assistance at another time.
