PUBLIC NOTICE
Waitlist Opening for Housing Authority of Maricopa County AND City of Tempe Housing Authority Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) June 8, 2020 @ 10:00 a.m. (MST) THROUGH June 29, 2020 @ 3 p.m. (MST)
The Housing Authority of Maricopa County(HAMC) and the City of Tempe Housing Authority(the City) will be accepting interest applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program Waitlist Lottery*. Interest applications will be accepted online only from 10:00 AM June 8, 2020 through June 29, 2020 at 3:00 PM. The online application will be located at https://maricopahousing.org/apply-tempe-and-maricopacounty-hcv-waiting-lists/. Paper applications will not be accepted; however, if you require special assistance with the application process or you do not have internet access, you may contact the help desk at 602-744-4555 or 480-350-8076 Monday-Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and a customer service specialist will assist you. *HAMC Lottery Selection: HAMC will randomly select 4,000 interest applications from all those received. Applicants selected from HAMC’s lottery will be sent written notification directing them to register on HAMC’s online applicant portal and to complete the formal application. The applicant portal allows applicants to check their waiting list status, reply to future ‘Save My Spot’ inquires, and when pulled from the waitlist, complete the ‘Certification for Intake’ process online. Applicants not selected will have to reapply for assistance at another time. *City of Tempe Housing Authority Lottery Selection: The City will randomly select 3,000 interest applications from all those received. Selected applicants will then be invited to complete the formal application process, then placed onto the City HCV Waitlist. Applicants not selected will have to reapply for assistance at another time. For more information about the City’s housing programs and application for assistance, visit the website at https://www.tempe.gov/government/human-services/housing-services.
Who can apply: All families and individuals may apply
How to apply: Interest applications will be accepted from June 8, 10:00 AM through June 29, 2017, 3:00 PM. If you have all of the required information pulled together before you sit down to apply, the online application will take approximately 3 minutes per household member to complete.

Public computers are not available at Housing Authority of Maricopa County or City of Tempe Housing Authority Offices.With COVID-19 concerns in full effect, community library’s and other public resource centers that normally offer free computer access may be closed or have limited access.
