Section 3 statement
It is HAMC policy that businesses, employers, and individuals working with this organization be made aware of and comply with all requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968, intended to foster local economic development, neighborhood economic improvement, and individual self-sufficiency. This provision requires that certain companies receiving HUD funds and working with HAMC make efforts, to the greatest extent possible, to provide job training, employment, and contracting opportunities to certified low-income residents and businesses in connection with projects and activities in their neighborhoods. HAMC's Official Section 3 policy statement can be found here.
Please visit our Section 3 information page, found here, to learn more about Section 3 legal obligations that may be required of contractors working with HAMC.
