If you suspect fraud of any type affecting HAMC

believe your rights have been violated, you can file
a fair housing complaint
HUD has an excellent online brochure called
“Equal Opportunity for All” that provides basic

If you have been the victim of housing

this link to the

contact the HAMC Director's Office?
The telephone number is 602-744-4508.
M10. Is the Housing Authority of Maricopa County
part of Maricopa County government?
No. We are affiliated with Maricopa County but we
are an independent agency with our own
Board of Commissioners. We are 100% funded by the
federal government and so we do not receive any
money from local governments.
M11. Are there any jobs available at HAMC? Who do I
contact?
HAMC posts all job opportunities
on it’s website.
M12. I have a company. We are painting contractors
(or architects, or exterminators, or HVAC

information on bids and contracts?
All procurements are subject to HUD rules and HAMC
internal regulations. Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
are posted on this
website.
M13. I have a question about building permits (or
utility service, zoning, trash pickup, mortgage
problems and/or neighborhood conditions). Who do I
call?
Although we get a great many calls about these
issues, they do not pertain to us and we cannot
help. HAMC deals exclusively with housing assistance
to low income individuals and families in certain
areas of Maricopa County, Arizona.
Questions regarding permits, zoning, utilities,
street repair, and other similar problems are
handled by local city governments. Please consult
the Yellow pages or do an Internet search for the
appropriate entity.
If you have foreclosure related questions, the

M14. I need more information. Where can I go to find
detailed information about HUD programs and housing?
The best source is the HUD USER website. This is an
excellent source for a wide range of articles, data
and general information about many different aspects
of housing in the US and government programs
involved in gathering data, regulating and providing
assistance for housing. Here is the link:
